Project SAFE Mission Statement

• Project SAFE, of Western Oregon University, will
  connect volunteers with the Willamette Chapter of
  the American Red Cross to train them as leaders
  in the Together We Prepare program. The team will
  coordinate with schools and service organizations
  to conduct training classes throughout Marion and
  Polk Counties, and collaborate with companies
  willing to donate supplies for use in disaster
  kits. Project SAFE will plan various fundraisers
  to help cover the cost of materials needed for
  training.

• Red Cross Month
• Teach 10-15 preparedness classes to 200 families
  in Marion Polk Counties
• Each family that participates will receive a
  disaster supply starter kit as a gift from
  donations received from local businesses

Get Involved

• Become certified in Adult/Infant/Child CPR and
  First Aid
• Attend a volunteer orientation at the Willamette
  Chapter that includes an introduction to Together
  We Prepare
• Complete necessary paperwork
• Teaching experience is recommended
