Title: Alfaro Oil & Gas Makes a Splash in the Barnett Combo
1Alfaro Oil Gas Makes a Splash in the Barnett
Combo
(1888PressRelease) Alfaro Oil Gas was founded
by oil entrepreneur Brian Alfaro in 2006. Alfaro
Oil Gas is a Texas based company that was
created to provide partners of Alfaro Oil and Gas
with the highest quality oil and gas prospects
available. Alfaro Oil Gas' approach is based
upon sound geologic and economic fundamentals
through the use of an extensive multi-tiered
process which includes major input. San Antonio,
TX - Alfaro Oil Gas, founded by Brian Alfaro in
2006, has completed drilling one well in the
Barnett Combo shale and is currently in the
process of completing two more wells. Alfaro Oil
Gas announced their success in completing the
first well in January of 2011 and has since
announced the drilling of two forthcoming wells
with the potential for more. The first well
completed by Alfaro Oil Gas, the French Town
2-H well, was drilled to a total depth of
approximately 12,000 feet on January 7, 2010. At
the time of that announcement, the casing had
been set and cemented. A full log demonstrated
that hydrocarbons (natural gas) were encountered
beginning at a depth of 6,718 feet, all the way
through total depth. The Barnett formation,
located in Texas, is also referred to as the
Barnett Combo shale oil play due to the presence
of both oil and natural gas in certain parts of
the formation. With the increased global push to
utilize greener energy sources, the demand for
natural gas continues to grow. The Barnett Shale,
according to some experts, is the largest onshore
natural gas field in the United States.
2The productive part of the formation is near the
cities of Dallas and Fort Worth and covers 5,000
square miles and at least 18 counties. Alfaro Oil
Gas is in the process of completing two
additional wells on their 509-acre lease. Alfaro
Oil Gas secured the help of one of the most
respected operators within the Barnett Combo to
head up their well drilling, Pat Canan. The
Barnett Combo has acted as an important source
and sealing cap rock for conventional oil and gas
reservoirs in the area since the early 20th
century. However, the potential of the Barnett
Shale as a reservoir was realized in the 1980s
due to new advances in horizontal drilling and
well fracturing technology. It wasn't until the
1990s that significant drilling began in response
to the increase in gas prices. The continued
success of independents as well as major oil
companies within the Barnett Shale has made the
area a "hot spot" for resource exploration.
Alfaro Oil Gas, longtime leaders in the
industry, is committed to providing their
partners with the highest quality oil and gas
prospects available. They knew the
hydrocarbon-producing geological formation known
as the Barnett Combo was a prospect
representative of Alfaro Oil Gas' ongoing
dedication and commitment to returning a profit
to its shareholders and program investors. About
Alfaro Oil Gas Alfaro Oil Gas' commitment to
this process is achieved mainly through the use
of 3-D imaging technology, pre-stacked time
migration and AVO imaging technology as well as
drilling in proven fields. Alfaro Oil Gas is
continually pursuing partnerships with other
highly regarded companies to drill and develop
potentially productive properties, giving them a
clear-cut advantage on the competition. For
