In vehicles mechanism, rims and tires are
inseparable - the inside edge of the tire has a
mounting on rim, which is the outer metal
circular design. Example in a bicycle the rim
is a large ring that has an attachment to the
outer ends of the wheel that holds the tire.
  The size of the rim has a direct impact on the
selection of tires.
