Joseph Agiato Urges Donations to Support Leukemia
Research
(1888PressRelease) Joseph Agiato has been a
lifelong advocate of giving back to his
community, serving our country and supporting
worthwhile causes. Joseph Agiato served our great
country as a member in U.S. Military for 10
years, earning a rank of E5 before he was
honorably discharged. Naples, FL Joseph Agiato,
longtime resident of Naples, Florida is reaching
out to remind us of the importance of donating to
the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Joseph Agiato
lost his mother to this unfortunate disease in
July of 2011 and understands the need for
additional funding and research to assist in
ongoing efforts toward finding a cure. Joseph
Agiato's mother, Charlotte Agiato, passed away at
the age of 92 in Naples, Florida after years of
battling acute leukemia. Charlotte Agiato was a
resident of Middle Village, New York for the
majority of her life but later moved to Naples to
receive necessary ongoing care and support from
her son, Joseph Agiato and his wife. Joseph
Agiato's mother was born on June 23, 1919 and
passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 a
devastating loss for Joseph Agiato, he became
determined to help find a cure so that others can
beat the disease. According to research, over
40,000 people are diagnosed with leukemia every
year. Joseph Agiato also served his community
as a police officer for a number of years. Now
that Joseph Agiato has retired, he has made
efforts to support others through volunteering
and donating to various causes. Prior his
mother's passing, Joseph Agiato realized the
importance of supporting leukemia research and
after her death, became determined to donate
regularly in an effort to find a cure.
"Giving back doesn't always require a monetary
donation," notes Joseph Agiato, "it can also
include volunteering your time to lend a hand and
help others in need." Joseph Agiato is urging us
all to give back in whatever way that we are
able. For more information on the Leukemia
Lymphoma Society, please visit http//www.lls.org.
