2Electrical Pliers
- Side Cutting Pliers
- Linemans Pliers
- Split Joint Pliers
- Long Nose Pliers
3Side Cutting Pliers
Diagonal pliers (or wire cutters or diagonal
cutting pliers) are pliers intended for the
cutting of wire (they are generally not used to
grab or turn anything). They are sometimes called
side cutting pliers or side cutters
4Linemans Pliers
- Type of pliers used for gripping small objects,
to cut and bend wire and cable. Lineman's pliers
have a gripping joint at their snub nose, and
cutting edge in their craw. It is typically are
machined from forged steel.
5Split Joint Pliers
Slip joint pliers are pliers whose pivot point or
fulcrum can be moved to increase the size range
of their jaws. Most slip joint pliers use a
mechanism that allows sliding the pivot point
into one of several positions when the pliers are
fully opened.
6Long Nose Pliers
Cutting and gripping pliers used to bend,
re-position and cut wire. Their namesake long
gripping nose provides excellent control and
reach for fine work in small or crowded
electrical enclosures, while cutting edge ' joint
provide "one-tool" convenience. Given their long
shape, they are useful for reaching into cavities
where cables have become stuck or unreachable to
fingers or other means.
7Driving Tools
- A screwdriver is a tool for driving screws. The
screwdriver is made up of a head or tip, which
engages with a screw, a mechanism to apply torque
by rotating the tip, and some way to position and
support the screwdriver.
8Philips Screwdriver
- It is use to loosen and tightening of philip or
cross head screw.
9Flathead Screwdriver
- It is use to loosen and tightening of flathead
screw.
10Stub or Close Quarter
- It is used for close range work.
11Soldering Tools
- Soldering Gun
- Soldering Iron
- Solder
12Soldering Gun
- Soldering guns are used where more heat is needed
than from pencil-style soldering irons. They can
be used for heavy electrical connections, stained
glass assembly, and light sheet-metal work.
13Soldering Iron
- A soldering iron is a hand tool most commonly
used in soldering. It supplies heat to melt the
solder so that it can flow into the joint between
two workpieces.
14Solder
- Solder is a fusible metal alloy used to join
together metal workpieces and having a melting
point below that of the workpiece(s).
15Measuring Tools
- To measure wire length and other items,
electrician use measuring tools such as Zigzag
rule and Pull-push rule.
16Zigzag Rule
- a rule composed of light strips of wood joined by
rivets so as to be foldable, all theĀ opening and
closing parts being in parallel planes.
17Pull-Push Rule
- A flexible steel rule which coils into a case
when not in use.
18Hammers
- Are used with chisels for nailing and fitting.
19Claw Hammer
- is a tool primarily used for pounding nails and
staple wire into, or extracting nails from, some
other object.
20Ball-peen Hammer
- A ball-peen hammer, also known as a blacksmith's,
engineer's or machinist's hammer, is a type of
peening hammer used in electrical and
metalworking.
21Testing Devices
- Multi-tester
- Continuity Line Tester
22Multi-tester
- A multimeter or a multitester, also known as a or
VOM(Volt-Ohm meter), is an electronic measuring
instrument that combines several measurement
functions in one unit. A typical multimeter may
include features such as the ability to measure
voltage, current and resistance.
23Continuity Line Tester
- A continuity tester is an item of electrical test
equipment used to determine if an electrical path
can be established between two points that is if
an electrical circuit can be made. The circuit
under test is completely de-energized prior to
connecting the apparatus.
24Other Electrical Devices
25Electrical Tape
- is a type of pressure-sensitive tape used to
insulate electrical wires and other material that
conduct electricity. It can be made of many
plastics, but vinyl is most popular, as it
stretches well and gives an effective and long
lasting insulation.
26Wire Stripper
- An automatic wire stripper simultaneously grips
the wire from one side and cuts and removes the
insulation from the other. To use it, one simply
has to place the wire in the jaws and squeeze the
handle
