2An addiction is a reliance on something for
normal functioning. If this object is removed,
then a withdrawal shock is experienced. Addiction
in its progressive stages creates manic levels
whereby the individual repetitively has a
compulsion to attach to the source of addiction -
despite harmful consequences to their mental,
emotional, physical or financial state.Any
addiction is serious.
3No one wants to be a bad person. Just accepting
the disease of addiction is most often a huge
challenge.People turn to addictions when they are
not taking responsibility for filling themselves
with the love they need. Love and approval
addiction is like any other addiction you are
using something external - in this case another's
attention to you - to fill the emptiness that is
the result of your own self-abandonment.
4- When you use an addictive substance such as
heroin, your brain truly gets addicted to it. It
abuse causes your brain to get out of balance.
Over time your brain relies more and more on you
giving it more . It actually needs the drugs as a
replacement for the neurotransmitters that
normally handled the tasks of normal brain
functioning.
5- What do you think happens if your brain becomes
addicted? You've lost control, right? Exactly.
Your brain is going to continue to send you
messages to feed it more, even after you make the
decision to stop using. It's not that you don't
want to quit your heroin addiction. It's that you
can't do it without a fight.
