Title: CHRIST IS THE ANSWER

1
CHRIST IS THE ANSWER
  • WHATEVER THE PROBLEM

2
CHRIST IS THE ANSWER
  • All of our problems can be solved if we would but
turn to Christ He is the solution to them all.
  • Let us consider some of man's major problems.

3
GUIDANCE
  • O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself
It is not in man who walks to direct his own
    steps. (Jer. 1023)

4
GUIDANCE
  • Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and
the life. No one comes to the Father except
    through Me. (John 146)

5
GUIDANCE
  • And He put all things under His feet, and gave
Him to be head over all things to the church,
which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills
    all in all. (Eph. 122-23)

6
GUIDANCE
  • And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All
authority has been given to Me in heaven and on
    earth. (Mt. 2818)

7
GUIDANCE
  • Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the
Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as
also Christ is head of the church and He is the
Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church
is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to
their own husbands in everything. (Eph. 522-24)

8
GUIDANCE
  • Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also
loved the church and gave Himself for her, that
He might sanctify and cleanse her with the
washing of water by the word, that He might
present her to Himself a glorious church, not
having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but
that she should be holy and without blemish.
    (Eph. 525-27)

9
GUIDANCE
  • Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this
is right. Honor your father and mother, which
is the first commandment with promise that it
may be well with you and you may live long on the
    earth. (Eph. 61-3)

10
GUIDANCE
  • And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to
wrath, but bring them up in the training and
admonition of the Lord. (Eph. 61-4)

11
HUMAN RELATIONS
  • Human relations are a problem because of
selfishness, covetousness and a failure to
    respect the rights of others.
  • But life lived as Jesus directs is free of these
    basic causes of friction.

12
HUMAN RELATIONS
  • You have heard that it was said, An eye for an
eye and a tooth for a tooth.
  • But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But
whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the
other to him also. (Mt. 538-39)

13
HUMAN RELATIONS
  • You have heard that it was said, You shall love
your neighbor and hate your enemy.
  • But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those
who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and
pray for those who spitefully use you and
    persecute you,

14
HUMAN RELATIONS
  • that you may be sons of your Father in heaven
for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the
good, and sends rain on the just and on the
    unjust. (Mt. 543-45)

15
HUMAN RELATIONS
  • Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you,
do also to them, for this is the Law and the
    Prophets. (Mt. 712)

16
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Employees are expected to work and employers are
    expected to pay.

17
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your
masters according to the flesh, with fear and
trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ

18
LABOR RELATIONS
  • not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as
bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God
from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as
to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that
whatever good anyone does, he will receive the
same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or
    free. (Eph. 65-8)

19
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Masters, give your bondservants what is just and
fair, knowing that you also have a Master in
    heaven. (Col. 41)

20
LABOR RELATIONS
  • For the Scripture says, You shall not muzzle an
ox while it treads out the grain, and, The
laborer is worthy of his wages. (1 Tim. 518)

21
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Employees are expected to work and employers are
    expected to pay.
  • Each should be honest and truthful, respecting
the property and rights of the other.

22
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good
things in the sight of all men. (Rom. 1217)

23
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the
soul, having your conduct honorable among the
Gentiles, that when they speak against you as
evildoers, they may, by your good works which
they observe, glorify God in the day of
    visitation. (1 Pet. 211-12)

24
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Employees are expected to work and employers are
    expected to pay.
  • Each should be honest and truthful, respecting
the property and rights of the other.
  • One should be unconcerned with how much someone
    else is making.

25
LABOR RELATIONS
  • For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner
who went out early in the morning to hire
laborers for his vineyard. Now when he had
agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he
    sent them into his vineyard.

26
LABOR RELATIONS
  • And he went out about the third hour and saw
others standing idle in the marketplace, and said
to them, You also go into the vineyard, and
whatever is right I will give you. So they went.

27
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth
hour, and did likewise. And about the eleventh
hour he went out and found others standing idle,
and said to them, Why have you been standing
    here idle all day?

28
LABOR RELATIONS
  • They said to him, Because no one hired us. He
said to them, You also go into the vineyard, and
whatever is right you will receive. So when
evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said
to his steward, Call the laborers and give them
their wages, beginning with the last to the
    first.

29
LABOR RELATIONS
  • And when those came who were hired about the
eleventh hour, they each received a denarius. But
when the first came, they supposed that they
would receive more and they likewise received
each a denarius. And when they had received it,
    they complained against the landowner,

30
LABOR RELATIONS
  • saying, These last men have worked only one
hour, and you made them equal to us who have
borne the burden and the heat of the day.
  • But he answered one of them and said, Friend, I
am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me
    for a denarius?

31
LABOR RELATIONS
  • Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to
give to this last man the same as to you. Is it
not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own
things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?
    (Mt. 201-15)

32
ECONOMICS
  • Waste brings want. Jesus taught thrift.

33
ECONOMICS
  • So when they were filled, He said to His
disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain,
    so that nothing is lost.
  • Therefore they gathered them up, and filled
twelve baskets with the fragments of the five
barley loaves which were left over by those who
    had eaten. (John 612-13)

34
ECONOMICS
  • Waste brings want. Jesus taught thrift.
  • Excessive profits/interest destroy trade.
  • Trade between two parties must cease when one
party has been so robbed that he no longer has
    the means of exchange.
  • "Live and let live" is to the advantage of both
    parties.

35
ECONOMICS
  • Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you,
do also to them, for this is the Law and the
    Prophets. (Mt. 712)

36
ECONOMICS
  • Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or
conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem
others better than himself. Let each of you look
out not only for his own interests, but also for
the interests of others. (Phil. 23-4)

37
IGNORANCE
  • Infants are born into this world having knowledge
of no one's needs and desires but their own.
  • They do not know how to satisfy their own needs,
    but are dependent upon others.

38
IGNORANCE
  • Thus, they must be taught the proper way to
    satisfy their needs and desires.
  • Jesus advanced in four areas.

39
IGNORANCE
  • And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in
favor with God and men. (Luke 252)

INTELLECTUAL
PHYSICAL
SPIRITUAL
SOCIAL
40
SIN
  • This is a universal problem.

41
SIN
  • for all have sinned and fall short of the glory
    of God (Rom. 323)

42
SIN
  • This is a universal problem.
  • Jesus came to save man from sin.

43
SIN
  • And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall
call His name Jesus, for He will save His people
    from their sins." (Mt. 121)
  • For this is My blood of the new covenant, which
is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Mt.
    2628)

44
SIN
  • This is a universal problem.
  • Jesus came to save man from sin.
  • Salvation from sin is conditional.

45
SIN
  • Therefore I said to you that you will die in
your sins for if you do not believe that I am
He, you will die in your sins." (John 824)

46
SIN
  • He who believes and is baptized will be saved
but he who does not believe will be condemned.
    (Mark 1616)

47
SIN
  • Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every
one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins and you shall
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 238)

48
SIN
  • This is a universal problem.
  • Jesus came to save man from sin.
  • Salvation from sin is conditional.
  • Jesus Christ is our mediator and our advocate.

49
SIN
  • For there is one God and one Mediator between God
and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a
ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for
which I was appointed a preacher and an
apostle--I am speaking the truth in Christ and
not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and
    truth. (1 Tim. 25-7)

50
SIN
  • My little children, these things I write to you,
so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we
have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ
    the righteous.
  • And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins,
and not for ours only but also for the whole
    world. (1 John 21-2)
