Amazon model development

• 200x280km model domain, Purus and Solimoes as 1D
  channels
• 90m SRTM DEM averaged to 270m, no vegetation
  removal
• Gives 770k cells
• No channel information so assumed constant width
  and slope for each river
• 2 year simulation, each annual hydrograph is the
  average of 20 years of gauged data

• Domain 200 x 700km, 270m resolution
• Simulated 4 years of real flow with inflows
  provided by the VIC model (courtesy Dennis
