Biography

• Born James Earl Carter, Jr. on October 1, 1924,
  in Plains, Georgia.
• Raised as a peanut farmer
• Graduated From Naval Academy in 1946
• Married Rosalynn Smith and had three sons and one
  daughter
• Owned and operated Carter Farms (Peanuts)
• Became Governor of Georgia in 1971
• Anounced Plans to run for President in 1974
