• July 3, 1946. Harry S. Truman made the Asian
  American Citizenship Act a Law.
• 1947 India gained independence from Brittan.
• 1960 quota was eliminated from the immigrants

Push and Pull

• Pull factor was when US was interest in finding
  white color workers because doctors and engineers
  were needed by them.
• Since the language was not a barrier for them to
  get along with US Citizens.
• India has many students graduating from
  universities but the availability of jobs are
  very few. That is one reason for them to
  immigrate to another country.
