WorkTrack Construction Crews
  • Your commitment to WorkTrack is the most
important factor in making WorkTrack a success.
  • Emphasize that using WorkTrack correctly will
reduce paperwork, keep jobs on track and under
budget, and make the company more competitive.
Help them understand why using WorkTrack will
contribute to the eventual success of your
    company and its employees.
  • Commit to the success of WorkTrack and
communicate your commitment to the field
  • Identify benefits for the employees and the
    company and communicate those
  • Decide on and communicate the consequences of not
    using WorkTrack

  • Assign responsibility for WorkTrack to one person
in the office and make sure that person is well
trained. This will provide a single person for
your employees to go to with questions and will
    help ensure a smoother rollout.
  • Select who will have primary responsibility for
WorkTrack and make sure theyre trained

  • Training the field in the correct way to use the
application on the phone is another critical
    factor in its eventual success.
  • Use these resources and allocate time to train
the field, and youll find that they accept
WorkTrack more readily and with fewer issues.
  • Sign up the WorkTrack administrator for on-line
    training from Aligo, Inc.
  • Show training videos to workers who will be using
    WorkTrack phones
  • Print out and distribute pocket guides

  • Invest up-front in order to save. Electronic
timesheets and location tracking are new ideas,
and its tempting to want to just try it before
committing. But if you start with only one or two
users, then there wont be enough data to see
really judge the eventual savings. Start with a
region or several crews and then take the time to
train them appropriately and to get the system
setup to meet your needs. When you invest the
time up front and commit, youll see savings more
    quickly with less time wasted.
  • Identify the crews and regions you will start
    with

  • Focus on the WorkTrack benefits that will be key
to your success. Each WorkTrack user is
different, and what each achieves through their
use is different as well. To see immediate
success, start with the one or two most important
features that WorkTrack can help you with and
    then expand from there.
  • Decide what are your keys to success with
    WorkTrack
  • Quantify your expected savings and determine how
    you will measure success
  • Review your WorkTrack installation with support
to make sure youre set up for success

  • Streamline the application on the phone by making
sure youre including only the options you need.
Answers to the following questions are key to
    setting up effective client profiles
  • Do you want to track shift times?
  • Do you want your employees to record break times?
  • Do you want to track jobs with WorkTrack?
  • If youre tracking jobs, do you want to break the
    time down by task?
  • Do your employees change jobs and tasks
    frequently?
  • Does everyone using WorkTrack do the same types
of activities or should they have different
    profiles?
  • How frequently do you want to track their
    location?.
  • Review your WorkTrack profiles and make sure
youve turned on the options you want and turned
    off all the others

  • Eliminate paperwork wherever possible by taking
advantage of WorkTracks quantity, notes, and
mileage fields. One of the most consistent
comments we hear from our customers is the saving
they achieve by reducing field paperwork.
Timesheets alone cost companies hundreds of
    dollars per employees!
  • Once youve successfully used WorkTrack to
eliminate those timesheets, look at your field
operations and see if there is other paperwork
you can get rid of. For example, are you still
    receiving expenses on paper?
  • Add quantity fields to WorkTrack and let
employees enter expenses on the phone.
  • Stop hand writing odometer readings for company
vehicles by entering them through the mileage
    fields on the phone.
  • These and other options can be easily turned on
through the Client Profiles in WorkTrack.
  • Review paper processes and consider where
WorkTrack can help or eliminate those processes
