to tell you a story about my holidays. I think
theyre very interesting.
On holiday
It wasnt a normal holidays.

We didnt go by train,

We travelled by car.

Santo Domingo
We went neither to Santo Domingo,

Disneyland Paris
nor to Disneyland Paris, no, no, no

In Spain
It was more fun than that. Im going to tell you
about a nearby trip, here in Spain.

And, of course, we didnt stay neither in a big
hotel,

luxurious apartment
nor in a luxurious apartment.

We stayed in a nice tent.

In 1975, we lived in the north of Spain, exactly
in León. This trip was from León to Valencia
approximately 685 kilometres.

my family on trip
It was a long trip, but it was unforgettable. All
my family went away on a trip my parents, my
three brothers, my sister and I.

Thirty years ago
And we travelled by car, with this car the car
which my father bought 30 years ago. It was the
latest Renault at that time.

because there werent state highways at that
time,

there was only a toll motorway near Madrid.

We were all day and all night on the journey. It
was an endless journey. I thought it would never
finish. Just imagine! We went two adult people
and five children in that car, as well as the
luggage and the tent for camping.

However, the best thing was when we arrived at
the seaside. The waiting was worth.

We first stayed at a campsite in El Perello,

The Albufera
near The Albufera, but we didnt like this.
Therefore, we went free camping near El Saler
beach. It was very funny.

We had French neighbours and we became friends.

They had a big caravan with many facilities.

Valencia is very interesting The Albufera
Natural Park is a nice place. It is located in
the south of Valencia, about 11 kilometres from
the capital between rice fields and the sea, and
closed off by the mouths of the Turia and Jucar
rivers.

migratory birds ????????????
It is a haven for many migratory birds. This is
an inland freshwater lake. Today, this lagoon
measures 6 kilometres in diameter and there are
many navigable canals that crisscross the
surroundings.

paella a typical dish ?????
In this area, the most important support is the
growing of rice. The fishing industry its very
important too. The gastronomy is based on the
Mediterranean diet, and paella is the most
important dish. Of course, on this trip we learnt
how to cook real Valencian paella.

There are some important towns around the lake
like El Perelló, El Palmar, Sueca, El Saler,
Silla and Cullera.
We also visited the city of Valencia. There were
many interesting monuments because Valencia has
an old history. Founded by the Romans, Valencia
has been the home of many cultures Romans,
Visigoths, Muslims and the Aragonese all made the
city an important cultural and financial centre.

We stayed in Valencia for a fortnight, but it
wasnt much time, because we enjoyed that trip.
These were my first and unforgettable
