NEW To maximize the business value of packaging
machinery by developing guidelines that lead to
the most appropriate application of advanced
automation technology.
19
Mission Change
  • Each of the PackTeams has modified their mission
to correspond to this new mission.
  • All parties of the Executive Committee recommend
    adoption of this change.
  • Accompanying new vision

Become the leading advocacy group for packaging
machine control technology and integration,
leveraging standards and OMAC guidelines to
enhance the business operations of end users,
machine builders, and technology providers.

Election to Executive Committee
  • EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE An executive committee will
be established by the Chairman to coordinate the
operation of the workgroup and to act upon all
proposals within the Workgroup. The Executive
Committee will be comprised of the Workgroup
Chairman and two members at large from each of
the three member classes plus such
    representatives of affiliated organizations or
work teams chartered by the Executive Committee
that the Executive Committee shall invite. The
Workgroup Chairman shall be the Chairman of the
    Executive Committee.
  • TERM The members at large of the executive
committee shall serve terms of office so that one
member from each membership class shall be chosen
each year at the annual meeting. Normal terms
will, therefore, be for two years. End User
members may succeed themselves in office for up
to 3 terms. OEM and technology provider members
may not succeed themselves in office unless there
are no other nominees after an appropriate
solicitation . Should a members job status
change during a term in office such that it is no
longer appropriate to serve on the committee, the
members organization, with approval from the
Chairman, may name a successor. Otherwise,
vacancies that occur during a term of office may
be filled by the Executive Committee for the
    duration of the unexpired term.
  • ELECTION Individuals may be nominated for a term
on the executive committee by contacting the
Chairman and providing certification that the
    individual being nominated satisfies the
requirements to hold office and has the desire
and ability to serve. No more than one
individual from any Member Organization may be
nominated to serve on the Executive Committee.
If an election is required due to there being
more nominees than positions, voting shall be
    held at the Annual Meeting.
  • VOTING When it is necessary to vote on
membership to the Executive Committee, each
member class will vote independently for their
    representative(s). Each Member Organization
shall have only one vote regardless of the number
of individual members in attendance at the time
