  • In general, the following steps need to be
    covered
  • Brief introduction
  • Introduce the teammates.
  • Provide a brief snapshot of the case.
  • The stated problem
  • The problem as stated in the case from the
    decision maker's perspective.
  • Brief definition and analysis of the stated
    problem.

Alternatives (Recommendations)
  • Given the problem definition
  • Discuss the objectives.
  • Long-term and short-term.
  • Present alternatives for each objective.
  • What are the possible solutions?
  • Marketing mix strategies?
  • Core issues and implications from the 5C
    analysis?
  • Strengths and weaknesses of each alternative?
  • Narrow down the list of alternatives.
  • Select the best alternative.
  • Your strategic recommendations and action plans?

The Presenting Team
  • Each team will have 25 minutes for the
    presentation.
  • Every team member has to be present
  • However, you can nominate a spokesperson for the
    presentation.
  • Remember, there is NO one correct solution to the
    case.
  • If you justify the recommendations in a logical
    manner, you should be fine.
  • Use QUANTITITIVE analysis wherever possible to
    justify your rationale.

  • Guidelines for each case will be posted online.
    These will help you in your case analysis.
  • Do NOT read from the slides or notes.
  • All teams making presentations are required to
    hand me a copy of their presentations at the
    beginning of class.

Class Participation
  • Participation will be graded
  • You must be present for the duration of the
    class.
  • Your participation grade depends on the quality
    of the questions you ask and the quality of the
    additional analyses you provide.
  • Formulate your questions and comments to the
    presenting team in a professional and
    constructive manner.
