The Lectures

  • Attendance is voluntary

Using the PRS system
  • If you do not already have one
  • Go to the AV counter of ITSC at Room 1030, next
    to Lift 1 (Bank of China Branch) to check out
    your unit.
  • We shall use this system starting at the next
    lecture.

The Lab Sessions
  • Being held on Wednesdays and Fridays starting
    from this(!) week
  • Learning to solve common problems using the
    computer
  • Lab notes are available on the class website
  • Do the Self task before the first lab if
    possible
  • Attendance is mandatory but students may leave
    after completing the lab exercise and submitting
    the results in person

  • Attendance record may be viewed online at class
    website
  • Errors must be reported to your TA within two
    weeks
  • Changing time slots is possible if there are
    seats available

  • Test 1 (Mon, 27 February) 15
  • Test 2 (Mon, 27 March) 15
  • Final Exam (TBA) 25
  • Homework 1 12.5
  • Homework 2 12.5
  • Lab attendance 20
  • Final grade distribution follows Senate
    guidelines.
