• Flaps selected down
• Uncommanded pitch down - unrecoverable
• Aircraft impacted ground at high speed in nose
  down attitude in the farming town of Ruian
• Injuries to ground personnel
• 61 fatalities

Technical Airworthiness

• To be considered airworthy, from a technical
  perspective, an aircraft must be designed,
  constructed and maintained
• to approved standards
• by competent and approved individuals
• who are acting as members of an approved
  organisation and
• whose work is certified as correct,
• and accepted by the ADF.
