A person, hoping to undergo pilot training course
needs to acquire two licenses before he can think
of going for a CPL.

These two licenses are the SPL or the Students
Flying License (which includes theoretical
knowledge of flying and the benchmark is 75) and
the PPL or the Private Flying License (which
includes 60 hours of flying and flight simulator
teaching).

The duration of CPL is approximately one and a
half years. The duration of PPL and CPL may vary
depending on the availability of instructors and
the flying conditions.
