Parker has attended eminent educational
institutions to pursue her studies. She graduated
from University of Miami, with a Bachelors
degree in Science, majoring in Biology and then
enrolled at Howard University Medical School. She
specializes in Internal Medicine/Hospital
Medicine and offers quality health-care to her
patients.
3Member of Phi Kappa Honor Society
Trina Parker is a presently a member of Phi Beta
Kappa Honor Society an academic honor society
that promotes excellence in the liberal arts and
sciences. The society inducts the most
outstanding students of sciences and arts at
Americas leading universities and colleges.
Founded on December 5, 1776 at The College of
William and Mary, the organization is also the
oldest honor society and among the oldest
undergraduate societies in the United States. It
publishes The Key Reporter, which is a
newsletter distributed quarterly to the
contributing members and biannually to all other
members.

In addition, Trina Parker is also associated with
the National Medical Association and American
Physiological society. Known as the oldest and
largest national organization, the NMA or
National Medical Association represents African
American physicians as well as their patients in
the U.S. It is a national, scientific
organization, with nearly 112 affiliated
societies throughout the country. The NMA aims at
improving the quality of health among
disadvantaged individuals through its membership,
community health education, professional
development, advocacy and partnership with
private and federal agencies.
5Charitable causes
Aside from being a dedicated physician, Trina
Parker is also a humanitarian who participates in
various church activities. She has been a
volunteer with American Red Cross Disaster Action
Team that prepares for and responds to disasters
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This team offers
disaster relief to meet needs of victims of
storms, house fires, transportation accidents,
floods, tornadoes and man-made disasters. The DAT
team comprises well-trained mental-health workers
who can offer victims with emotional support
through difficult times.

Trina Parker is married and has two children, and
loves spending quality time with her family.
Aside from that, she also enjoys traveling and
reading in her free time.
