    public school district or public school academy?
  • Does the individual work in an elementary or
    secondary school operated by a district (not
    ISD)?
  • Does the individual have a valid Michigan
    teaching certificate?

  • If you are employed as an elementary specialty
    teacher (i.e. art, music, physical education),
    counselor, Title I teacher, reading specialist,
    speech teacher or special education teacher, do
    you serve as the primary instructor?

  • ___No, I serve as a resource person to the
    classroom teacher and/or to students.

Alternatives to the TTI Original Intent

CV Alternative Tech
  • Items aligned with CVs tech plan have been
    selected from the REMC catalog.
  • These allowable alternatives are for classroom
    use only, not for home.
  • CV is not responsible for any related costs
    repair, shipping, consumables.

  • Multiple teachers may pool TTI money to obtain
    items more expensive than 1200.
  • Teachers may not realize 1200 in value if they
    opt for alternatives.
  • The short list is posted on the CV TTI web page.

Teachers Can Begin
  • Determine eligibility w/ administration.
  • Get the teacher checklist.
  • Complete and print the 4 tasks.
  • Indicate machine preference.
  • Submit the checklist with all documents completed
    and attached.

  • Get the Building Checklist and Building Worksheet
  • Meet with eligible staff to discuss options
  • Vote to allow alternatives if interest exists.
  • Principal must concur with proposed alternatives

  • Keep TTI folder to hold all relevant TTI
    information
  • Keep records of staff meetings re TTI.
  • Documentation must be maintained for three years.
