Awad Rasras is an Associate Professor in
Mathematics at Jefferson Community and Technical
College, Louisville. It is the most prominent of
the sixteen colleges that shape up the Kentucky
Community and Technical College system. The
college is a public, comprehensive and
postsecondary institution accredited by the
Commission on Colleges of the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools. It provides
students the flexibility of selecting from its
300 degrees and 70 different programs, diplomas
and certificate option while enjoying the
benefits of its convenient locations, small class
sizes and wide support system. Jefferson
Community and Technical College is the second
largest college in the area, having over 15,000
students, six campuses and lots of other sites.

The Birzeit University
Awad Rasras received his B.S in Mathematics from
the Birzeit University in 1978. It is a
Palestinian Arab institution, managed by an
independent Board of Trustees that are
responsible for running and developing its
policies. Since its establishment, the university
is providing equal learning opportunities and to
train students to be good citizens dedicated to
the well being and progress of society. The
university is devoted to encouraging excellence,
teamwork, innovation, creativity,
experimentation, democratic practices, freedom of
expression and respect for others. It is a
liberal environment that stresses on the
Arab-Islamic Heritage and provides students to
recognize their potentials and grow of their
personalities.

Besides this, in 1983 to pursue his MA degree in
Mathematics, Awad Rasras went to Texas Woman's
University. which is a public university
acknowledged as the country's largest academic
institution. The University has campuses in
Denton, Houston and Dallas that are brought
together by e-learning campus, offering advanced
online degree program in general studies,
education and business.

In addition, Awad Rasras finished his MA in
Education in 1985 from the University of Kansas.
