• Who We Are
• CVAP established in 1954 is an Alumnae
  Panhellenic.
• An Alumnae Panhellenic is a community based
  organization with the National Panhellenic
  Conference (NPC).
• NPC, founded in 1902, is one of the oldest and
  largest womens membership organization.
• It represents 26 member inter/national sororities
  consisting of more than 4 million women at 655
  colleges/universities.

• Our Chapter is one of the oldest continuing
  non-profits in Coachella Valley.
• We have received National Award Recognition from
  the NPC.
• Over the past 54 years CVAP has held an annual
  benefit to raise scholarship funds for young
  women graduates in the Coachella Valley High
  Schools.

• At our 55th Annual Event we are honoring our
  first Diamond Award Recipient.
• The Diamond Award will be an annual award given
  to an outstanding, multi-faceted woman leader of
  society
• a woman whose legacy speaks for itself
• a woman whom young women can admire and
  emulate.

• Betty Ford is our First Diamond Award Recipient.
• She will be honored for her lifelong leadership
  and distinguished and devoted service to public
  causes.
• Her contributions include
• Support for the Equal Rights Amendment.
• Public education regarding early detection of
  breast cancer.
• Co-founder of the Betty Ford Center.
• Her national support of mental health and aide to
  underprivileged children.
