What is a life cycle?

• A life cycle is the set of changes all animals go
  through in their life. Animals are born, change
  into adults, have their own babies, and
  eventually die.

How do animals change as they grow?

• All animals start out as babies and grow and
  change until they become an adult.

What traits do animals inherit from their parents?

• All animals inherit some things from their
  parents. This means all animals look a little
  like their parents.

How are life cycles different between animals?

• Some animals do not look anything like their
  parents when they are born. This total change is
  called a metamorphosis.

• Other animals look like small versions of their
  parents when they are born. They do not go
  through metamorphosis
