The Giraffe

The giraffe
A giraffe can consume up to 12 gallons of water
at one time when drinking from a water hole. They
also obtain water from the dew on the leaves they
eat and the water contained in their food.Their
long necks allow them to feed among treetops and
spot predators. Giraffes have an extra-large
heart to pump blood up their long necks to the
brain. A giraffe's heart is 2-3 times stronger
than a human heart. Long, tough tongues enable
the giraffe to pull leaves from branches without
being hurt by the thorns during feeding. They
have long tongues which allow them to hold
branches by wrapping their tongues around the
branches)Their tongues are up to 18 inches long
Spotted coat camouflages giraffes among the
trees.

A Giraffes Habitat
Giraffes tend to live in dry, open wooded areas
in the savannah. As a matter of fact, males and
females have different preferences for habitat.
Thus the females usually cannot be found in the
woodland. This behaviour is connected with the
feeding habits of these creatures. Since males
eat leaves from the highest trees, they can
afford going to the woodland for food.
5
Tropical Fish
To adapt to its environment a tropical fish has
flippers so it can paddle and swim around the
sea. A tropical fishes body can reach up to an
amazing temperature of 90 degrees so when its
winter he or she wont get cold!
6
A Tropical Fishs Habitat
A Tropical fish is found under the sea where it
has everything it needs, such at coral etc., or
if kept as a pet it must be kept in a warm,
filtered aquarium.
