- WELCOME ..
- DATA LOGGER PRESENTATION

2DATA LOGGERS MODES
- DATA LOGGERS ARE USED IN TWO DIFFERENT MODES
- AS STAND ALONE UNITS MOSTLY IN LARGE SIGNALLING
INSTALLATIONS. - AS NETWORKED SYSTEMS WITH A CENTRAL MONITORING
AND CONTROL FACILITY AT THE HEAD QUARTERS WITH
MULTIPLE ACCESS AS DESIRED. -
- IN BOTH CASES, EACH DATALOGGING EQUIPMENT
CALLED YARD MASTER IS PROVIDED WITH A FAULT
ANALYSIS APPLICATION SOFTWARE IN A MONITORING
P.C. CALLED YARD VIEWER.
3STAND ALONE DATA LOGGER SYSTEM
- THIS CONSISTS OF
- DATA LOGGER EQUIPMENT (DLE) ON A RACK.
- DIGITAL INPUT CABLE TERMINATION(DITC) RACK.
- A MONITORING P.C. LOADED WITH FAULT ANALYSIS
SOFTWARE . - A FAULT INDICATOR UNIT FIXED AT A CHOSEN
LOCATION. - POWER SUPPLY DLE WORKS ON 24V. D.C. AND THE P.C.
ON 230V. A.C.

8DATA LOGGER NETWORK
- THIS IS MADE UP OF
- INDIVIDUAL DATA LOGGER UNITS, ONE AT EACH
STATION, INTERCONNECTED THROUGH MODEMS AND LEASED
LINES IN A DAISY CHAIN FASHION UP TO 32 NUMBERS. - A NETWORK MANAGER CALLED FRONT END PROCESSOR(FEP)
AT THE CENTRAL LOCATION. - A CENTRAL MONITORING UNIT (CMU) AT THE FEP.
- A FAULT INDICATOR UNIT(FIU).
- POWE SUPPLY DLE AND FEP WORK ON 24V.DC, WHILE
CMU WORKS ON 230V AC.

12CENTRAL MONITORING UNIT
13- CENTRAL MONITORING UNIT
- CMU is a desktop PC with YARD VIEWER software
installed in it. - When connected to a StandAlone Data Logger it
monitors a single station yard. - When connected to FEP of a Network it monitors
data of all connected stations of network. - It stores data acquired from the Station/Cabin
yards in standard database files. - It acts as an interface between the user and the
System.

17 YARD VIEWER UTILITY
- Uses data for
- HEALTH CHECK OF ALL GEARS(SIGNAL, POINT, TRACK)
- STAGE-WISE MONITORING OF ROUTE
- FINDING FAULTY OPERATIONS (PANEL OPERATOR)
- TRAIN LATE START
- TRAIN SPEED MONITORING
- IDENTIFYING SPAD CASES (SIGNAL PASSING AT DANGER)
- GRAPHICAL SIMULATION OF TRAIN MOVEMENTS
- GRAPHIC VIEW OF MONITORED POWER SUPPLY ON-LINE OR
OFF-LINE

21ROUTE SEQUENCING
- WHEN STAGE-WISE RELAYS CURRENT STATUS IS MATCHED
WITH THE EXPECTED STATUS THEN ROUTE INITIATED
MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED. - WHEN ROUTE IS NOT SET DUE TO A RELAY STATUS IN
THE GIVEN SEQUENCE IS NOT MATCHED, THEN ALARM IS
GENERATED FOR THAT PARTICULAR RELAY. - MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED TO SHOW THAT ROUTE IS NOT
INITIATED FOR THAT PARTICULAR ROUTE. - BY CLICKING ON THE FAULTY RELAY, CIRCUIT
ASSOCIATED THAT RELAY IS DISPLAYED FOR FURTHER
ANALYSIS. - THIS HELPS TO NARROW DOWN THE POSSIBLE ERROR IN
THAT PARTICULAR ROUTE.

26FUSE FAIL MONITORING UNIT (FFMU)
- FFMU IS USED TO REDUCE THE HALTING / FAILURE OF
THE - SIGNALLING SYSTEM.
- WHEN MAIN FUSE BLOWS, REDUNDANT FUSE (OF SAME
RATING) - WILL BYPASS THE MAIN PATH AND SYSTEM WILL
FUNCTION NORMAL. - GENERATES AN ALARM THROUGH LED RELAY (POTENTIAL
FREE) - FOR LOCAL AND REMOTE ANNUNCIATION.
- ONE COMMON POINT FOR SENSING IS TAKEN FROM SUPPLY
BUS BAR - AND OTHER POINT IS TAKEN AT THE OUTPUT OF
RESPECTIVE FUSE. - CURRENT DRAWN BY FFMU IS VERY MUCH LESS THAN
1mAMPS. - FFMU OPERATES ON 24V DC POWER SUPPLY.
- EACH FFMU SCALABLE TO MONITORING UPTO 16 FUSES.
