• Technology that helps learners, SMEs, and
  instructional designers develop, store, and
  retrieve course materials.
• (LMS)
• Examples
• Cold Fusion, HTML, Metadata (i.e., SCORM), PDF,
  Scripting (e.g.JavaScript, VBScript), XML

SCORM

• Sharable Content Object Reference Model.
• Developed by the US DOD
• Goal To promote cooperation among government,
  corporate, and academic institutions.
• It is a set of technical specifications that
  allow instruction to be shared in a standardized
  format that could be reused and moved from LMS to
  LMS with little to no tweaking.
• Easier to update over a period of time.
• (Example Lockheed-Martin and US Air force)

• Technology that allows for interaction among
  learners and the facilitator.
• Examples
• Application sharing, Audio/Video/Data
  conferencing,E-Mail, E-Rooms/Chat rooms
  (public/private), Instant Messaging, Webcasts,
