Small Innovative Grants Program
  • One-year award with option for second year upon
    invitation
  • 100,000 or less for first year
  • Eligible for up to 50 of first year award for
    second year (11 cash match required)

    submission
  • Funding rate 18-23
  • Concept paper option

  • Dissertation support to be added
  • Non-dissertation research, such as applied

Circle of Friends Small Grants Program
  • Circle of Friends is a national, grassroots
    social movement from Legacy to show support for
    women struggling to quit smoking and to highlight
    the toll of tobacco-related disease on women,
    their families and communities in the U.S.

Circle of Friends Small Grants Program
  • Grants will help organizations implement programs
    to support women who are trying to quit smoking.

  • Programs must include a strong social support
    component.
  • Organizations must be willing to incorporate
    Legacy materials and activities into the program.

Circle of Friends Small Grants Program
  • Organizations may request up to 75,000 per year
    for up to two years.
  • A 23 cash match is required for second-year
    funding (for every 3 granted by the foundation,
    the grant recipient must supply 2).

  • Planning grants are also available.
  • Planning grants provide funds up to 25,000 for
    one year for an organization to develop a
    project.
