FUTURE YEAR DEFENSE PROGRAM (FYDP)

• The FYDP officially summarizes forces and
  resources for programs developed within DOD and
  approved by the Secretary of Defense
• The FYDP details the Armys construction
  requirements for Army installations for six years

TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM

• The Armys Transformation Facilities Plan
  includes constructing Temporary Facilities
  (Modularity) with a life not to exceed 7 years to
  allow
• Installation/ USACE to define required permanent
  facilities (Transformation)
• Program and obtain Congressional approval for
  those Projects
• The Plan indicates Permanent Facility award dates
  starting in FY07 and construction ending by FY 13
