    instructor" in a state
  • Maintains requirement that officers have
    statutory powers of arrest to qualify under the
    law
  • No change to officers qualifying in DoD minor
    changes for those who do

    training standards

    Police and Security Guards in the Department of
    Defense)
  • Establish a Law Enforcement Training Advisory
    Council (LETAC) for DoD, Military Services and
    DoD Agencies.

  • Interim guidance message gives baseline
    requirements for firearms registration,
    transportation, use, storage, awareness, and
    reporting on DoD installations
  • Interim guidance will be incorporated into the
    next revision of DoD 5200.08-R, Physical Security
    Program
  • BL Registration of POF is mandatory for
  • 1) Persons who reside and
  • store a POF on the installation
  • 2) Persons who do not reside
