Introduction

• Many people are familiar with dental or vision
  discount cards, or prescription drug discount
  cards. Medical Discount Card promises discounts
  on a much broader array of health care needs.
  Medical Discount Cards can be used for doctor
  visits, hospitalizations and other health care
  services along with Dental, Vision, Hearing and
  Prescription drugs.

How does Medical Dental Card works

• First and foremost, it is important to understand
  that discount medical cards are NOT insurance
  coverage. Discount medical card companies do not
  pay claims for medical services. Instead, they
  negotiate with health care providers to offer
  discounted rates. Enrollees pay a monthly fee to
  access these negotiated discounts. This monthly
  fee is almost always significantly less than the
  cost of insurance premiums.
• However, enrollees do not receive the discount
  unless they pay for their health care in full at
  the time of service. For expensive medical
  services such as surgery or hospitalizations,
  this can be extremely difficult, if not
  impossible, to do.
• Discount card programs usually offer a
  "membership" for a monthly or annual fee and
  members are typically required to have a
  Cheque-In A/c. In return for the fee, you get a
  discount card that is accepted by a network of
  doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and other health
  care providers. The network providers accept the
  reduced rates to reach more customers. Typically,
  when you see a doctor or other provider in the
  network, you present your discount card and pay a
  discounted fee-for- service with a E-Cheque.
  Sometimes you pay the doctor's full fee, but
  receive the discount as a credit to your
  Cheque-In account. The amount of discount can
  vary by provider and service. For example, one
  dentist may discount a check-up by 20 and a
  filling by 10 but another may only discount the
  same services by 15 and 5, respectively.

How To Use

• Simply visit our website or call the toll-free
  number on your membership card for the pharmacy
  nearest you. Please be sure to present your ID
  card along with your prescription's), to the
  pharmacist. Please do not call the pharmacy for
  price quotes. They cannot provide you with the
  contracted rate over the phone. The pharmacys
  computer system will compare our contracted rate
  with the pharmacys price. You pay the lower of
  the two prices at the point of sale.
• Your membership card must be presented to the
  pharmacist before having your prescription
  filled.  The pharmacy program cannot be used in
  conjunction with any other offer, coupon or
