Title: THE MYSTERY OF GOD’S FOREKNOWLEDGE AND ELECTION
1(No Transcript)
2SCRIPTURE READING
- HEBREWS 111-6
- Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it
the elders obtained a good report. Through faith
we understand that the worlds were framed by the
word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel
offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than
Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was
righteous, God testifying of his gifts and by it
he being dead yet speaketh. - By faith Enoch was translated that he should not
see death and was not found, because God had
translated him for before his translation he had
this testimony, that he pleased God. But without
faith it is impossible to please him for he
that cometh to God must believe that he is, and
that he is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek him. - COLOSSIANS 112-17
- Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us
meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the
saints in light Who hath delivered us from the
power of darkness, and hath translated us into
the kingdom of his dear Son In whom we have
redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins Who is the image of the
invisible God, the firstborn of every creature
For by him were all things created, that are in
heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers all
things were created by him, and for him And he
is before all things, and by him all things
consist.
3THE MYSTERYOF GODS FOREKNOWLEDGEAND ELECTION

THE LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE
REVELATION 35 He that overcometh, the same shall
be clothed in white raiment and I will not BLOT
out his NAME out of the BOOK of LIFE, but I will
confess his name before my Father, and before his
angels.
REVELATION 138 And all
that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the
antiChrist), whose names are NOT written in the
BOOK of LIFE of the LAMB slain from the
foundation of the world.
8NAMES WRITTEN IN HEAVEN
- LUKE 1017-21
- And the SEVENTY returned again with joy,
saying, Lord, even the DEVILS are subject unto us
through Thy Name. - And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as
lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto
you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and
over all the power of the enemy and nothing
shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in
REJOICE NOT, that the spirits are subject unto
you but rather REJOICE, because your NAMES are
WRITTEN in HEAVEN.
9THE GOSPEL IS HID FROM UNBELIEVERS
- JOHN 665And he said, Therefore said I unto you,
that no man can come unto me, except it were
given unto him of my Father. - II CORINTHIANS 43-4But if our GOSPEL be HID, it
is hid to them that are LOST In whom the god of
this world hath blinded the minds of them which
believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine unto them.
10THE GOSPEL IS HID FROM UNBELIEVERS
- MATTHEW 1125-26 At that time Jesus answered
and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven
and earth, because Thou hast HID these things
from the wise and prudent, and hast REVEALED them
unto babes. Even so, Father for so it seemed
good in thy sight.
11THE GOSPEL IS HID FROM UNBELIEVERS
- MATTHEW 1313-16 Therefore speak I to them
in PARABLES because they seeing see not and
hearing they hear not, neither do they
understand. And in them is fulfilled the
prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye
shall hear, and shall not understand and seeing
ye shall see, and shall not perceive For this
people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears
are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have
closed lest at any time they should see with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and
should understand with their heart, and should
be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed
are your eyes, for they see and your ears, for
they hear.
12THE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD
- ROMANS 828-3028 And we know that ALL THINGS
work together for good to them that LOVE God, to
them who are the CALLED according to his
PURPOSE. - 29 For whom he did FOREKNOW, He also did
PREDESTINATE to be conformed to the image of
His Son, that he might be the firstborn among
many brethren. - 30 Moreover whom He did PREDESTINATE, them He
also CALLED and whom He CALLED, them He also
JUSTIFIED and whom He JUSTIFIED, them He also
GLORIFIED.
13YOU ARE CHOSEN, ELECTED, PREDESTINATED
- EPHESIANS 13-123 Blessed be the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath
blessed us with all spiritual blessings in
heavenly places in Christ - 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be
holy and without blame before him in love - 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of
children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to
the good pleasure of his will, - 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. - 7 In whom we have redemption through his
blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace - 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all
wisdom and prudence - 9 Having made known unto us the MYSTERY of his
will, according to his good pleasure which he
hath purposed in himself - 10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of
times he might gather together in one all things
in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which
are on earth even in him - 11 In whom also we have obtained an
inheritance, being predestinated according to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will - 12 That we should be to the praise of his
glory, who first trusted in Christ.
14- ROMANS 911-23
- 11 (For the children being not yet born,
neither having done any good or evil, that the
purpose of God according to election might stand,
not of works, but of him that calleth) - 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve
the younger. - As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau
have I hated. - 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on
whom I will have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I will have compassion. - 16 So then it is not of him that willeth,
nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth
mercy. - 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even
for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that
I might shew my power in thee, and that my name
might be declared throughout all the earth. - 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will
have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. - 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet
find fault? For who hath resisted his will? - 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest
against God? Shall the thing formed say to him
that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? - 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of
the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and
another unto dishonour? - 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath,
and to make his power known, endured with much
longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to
destruction - 23 And that he might make known the riches of
his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had
afore prepared unto glory
15THE WICKED ARE FOREKNOWN OF GOD ALSO
- JUDE 14
- For there are certain MEN crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation,
ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into
lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God,
and our Lord Jesus Christ. - I PETER 28
- And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,
even to them which stumble at the WORD, being
disobedient whereunto also they were
appointed.Talk about Judas, Pharaoh, Balaam,
Korah, Dathan, etc. Also the Twins in the Bible
Cain and Abel, Esau and Jacob, Isaac and
Ishmael, Moses and Rameses, Jesus and Judas, the
Wheat and the Tares, the Crow and the Dove, The
Goat and the Lamb.
16THE HOLY GHOST CAN FALL ON EVERYBODY, BUT
- ACTS 217
- And it shall come to pass in the last days,
saith God, I will pour out of MY SPIRIT upon ALL
FLESH. - MATTHEW 545
- For he maketh his SUN to rise on the evil and on
the good, and sendeth RAIN on the JUST and on the
UNJUST. - MATTHEW 1330
- Let both grow together until the HARVEST and in
the time of harvest I will say to the reapers,
Gather ye together first the TARES, and bind them
in bundles to burn them but gather the WHEAT
into my barn. (Let every seed bring forth of
its kind Gen 111-12) - MATTHEW 720
- Wherefore by their FRUITS ye shall know them.
17NOT EVERYONE THAT SAYS LORD
- MATTHEW 721-23
- Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he
that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven. - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have
we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name
have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works? - And then will I profess unto them, I never knew
you depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
18THE WISE AND FOOLISH VIRGINS
- MATTHEW 251-12
- Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto
TEN VIRGINS, which took their lamps, and went
forth to meet the BRIDEGROOM. - And FIVE of them were WISE, and FIVE were
FOOLISH. They that were foolish took their
lamps, and took NO OIL with them But the wise
took OIL in their vessels with their lamps.
While the BRIDEGROOM tarried, they all slumbered
and slept. - And at MIDNIGHT there was a CRY made, Behold, the
BRIDEGROOM COMETH go ye out to MEET Him. Then
all those virgins arose, and TRIMMED their lamps.
And the FOOLISH said unto the WISE, Give us of
your OIL for our lamps are GONE OUT. But the
WISE answered, saying, Not so lest there be
not ENOUGH for us and you but go ye rather to
them that SELL, and BUY for yourselves. - And WHILE they went to BUY, the Bridegroom CAME
and they that were READY went in with him to the
MARRIAGE and the DOOR was SHUT. AFTERWARD came
also the OTHER virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open
to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say
unto you, I KNOW you NOT.
19THE GOSPEL NET
- MATTHEW 1347-48
- 47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto
a NET, that was cast into the sea, and gathered
of every kind - 48 Which, when it was full, they drew to
shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into
vessels, but cast the bad away.
20THE THREE PULLS OF JESUSYe shall be Fishers of
Men
- First Pull Healing Miracles
- Jesus turned the water into wine Fed 5,000
out of 5 fishes two bread He healed the sick,
cast out devils raise the dead. - Second Pull Prophesying Discernment
- Jesus told Peter his name told Nathaniel he
is a man with no guile told the Samaritan woman
about her 6 husbands He exposed the Pharisees
iniquities - Third Pull Revealing of the WordJesus told the
seventy about eating His flesh and drinking His
blood about the Son of Man going up and down
heaven.
2170 DISCIPLES LEFT JESUS
- JOHN 653,60-69
- Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of
man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had
heard this, said, This is an hard saying who
can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his
disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth
this offend you? What and if ye shall see the
Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is
the spirit that quickeneth the flesh profiteth
nothing the words that I speak unto you, they
are spirit, and they are life. - But there are some of you that believe not. For
Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that
believed not, and who should betray him. And he
said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can
come unto me, except it were given unto him of my
Father. - From that time many of his disciples went
back, and walked no more with him. Then said
Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then
Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we
go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we
believe and are SURE that thou art that Christ,
the Son of the living God.
22REVELATION IS THE KEY
- MATTHEW 1613-18
- 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of
Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples,
saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
- 14 And they said, Some say that thou art
John the Baptist some, Elias and others,
Jeremias, or one of the prophets. - 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that
I AM? - 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou
art the Christ, the Son of the living God. - 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona for FLESH and
BLOOD hath not REVEALED it unto thee, but my
FATHER which is in heaven. - 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art
Peter, and upon this ROCK I will BUILD my CHURCH
and the gates of hell shall not prevail against
it.
23FAITH IS A REVELATION
- HEBREWS 111
- Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen. - HEBREWS 116
- But without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to
PLEASE Him for he that cometh to God must
believe that HE IS, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.
24THE STRONG MEAT OF THE WORD
- HEBREWS 512-14
- For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye
have need that one teach you again which be the
first principles of the oracles of God and are
become such as have need of milk, and not of
strong meat. - For every one that useth milk is unskillful in
the Word of righteousness for he is a babe. - But strong meat belongeth to them that are of
full age, even those who by reason of use have
their senses exercised to discern both good and
evil.
