  content
• You are protected if your computer crashes your
  access can be recovered
• You do not need to be connected when reading most
  ebooks, many are available as a download
• There are enhancements available with an ebook
  that arent available with a printed book
• These include searching

• Print, copy, and read eBooks aloud with
  publisher permission
• Add bookmarks, highlights, and annotations
• Choose single-page, two-page, and fit width view
• Zoom and rotate pages
• Search for text within an eBook

• Some publishers allow printing
• Some publishers limit printing to a certain
  number of pages per time period
• A very few publishers prohibit printing

• Some publishers take advantage of Adobes ability
  to time limit access to content and cause it to
  expire
• Some publishers allow reduced price renewals to
  expired content
• Usually expiration, printing limits etc are
  indicated before purchase be sure to check DRM
  settings before purchase

• Most publishers prohibit copy and paste

Read Aloud

• Must publishers permit reading aloud
• With this feature the ebook is read aloud through
  the computer
• This feature allows you to take notes while
  hearing the text
• It is also a boon for sight limited students
