  • Endomycorrhizae (sometimes called vesicular-
    arbuscular mycorrhizae(VAM)
  • fungi grow within root cortical cells produce
    arbuscules within cells, often vesicles
  • not all produce vesicles, but all produce

  • Normal usage rates and application methods
    (spray) normally has no effect on mycorrhizal
    fungi

    not to roots.
  • General rule avoid use of fungicides 2 - 3 weeks
    before and after inoculation
  • toxic Carbamates (Maneb, Zineb), PCNB,
    Chlorothalonil (Daconil, Bravo), Triazoles
    (Bayleton), Benomyl (Benlate)
  • non-toxic Signature, Captan, Carbendazim,
    Metalaxyl (Ridomil, Subdue)
