What is Tau Beta Pi?

• Purpose to mark in a fitting manner those
  who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by
  distinguished scholarship and exemplary character
  as students in engineeringand to foster a spirit
  of liberal culture in engineering colleges.

• 390,000 living members
• 225 collegiate chapters
• Alumni chapters in 59 cities
• Founded at Lehigh University in 1885
• Student-run organization

• About 100 active members
• Over 4,000 members initiated into Michigan Alpha

What happens now?

• Initiation Requirements
• 1 social events
• 1 service event
• 1 fundraising event
• 4 hours tutoring or Futures session
• 1 of the above activities with your mentor.

• Complete application materials by 03/22
• Check results of election. If elected, pay the
  one-time 80 initiate fee
• Attend Initiation ceremony and Banquet on 04/25

Initiate Fee Breakdown
Tau Beta Pi can provide financial aid towards
initiate fees. So, declining election because of
financial reasons is unnecessary!!

• 1 social event

Tau Beta Pi Date Auction

• Volunteer students auction dates for the benefit
  of Haven House.
• Volunteer to be auctioned off, obtain sponsors,
  or work in the setup crew!
• When February 26th 7pm to 9pm
• Admission is 2 or 2 canned goods
• Door Prizes!!
