We must work knowing that the Body of Christ is
expressed both locally as a church-based entity
and as the collection of followers of Jesus in
any area.  When we do this, we see one body (the
whole church), with one task (the whole gospel),
and one mission field (the whole city)
  • Pastor Joe LaCognataNew Hope Community Church
    Pastors Prayer Group Leader

13
The Church has dealt with the spiritual realm and
neglected the physical needs of many in the
world, particularly in the inner city. It is the
responsibility of the whole church to love all
people, particularly those of a different race,
cultural background, impoverished and oppressed.
The whole taking the whole gospel to the whole
world is demonstrated in a miraculous when we as
Christians do this.
  • Yours for a better World through Christ,Wayne
    "Coach" Gordon Christian Community Development
    Association

14
I will be in Kansas City this Saturday, May 31,
and thus unable to attend the scheduled events.
However, I will do what I can to have Judson
represented at this prayer gathering.  Though I
will be driving most of the day, I will be
praying for you and the participants as I travel.
  • God's Speed, Jerry CainPresident, Judson College

15
Once we understand that Christ died for the
church World-Wide (universal), then we will begin
to understand our need and commission to work
together. We are called to reach our cities for
Jesus, cover them in prayer and allow people to
see who we really are.
  • Bishop Larry D. TrotterSweet Holy Spirit Church-
    Chicago

16
In just about every major city, the nations of
the earth can be seen. Because the net is to
gather some of every kind, it should just speak
loudly to each leader, who may be fearful of
working with others because of diversity (meaning
doing things differently than I), the powerful
force of a diverse net to proclaim the good news
to a whole city together!! This is that season,
this is that time. Are you ready to be a part of
God's great dragnet to bring in a multi cultured
catch?
  • Apostle Daryl O'NeilCrusaders Church

17
It's bigger than one local church. It's broader
than a single denomination. It's more diverse
than a dominant culture group. It's outside the
grasp of one man's vision. It's beyond the scope
of a single pocket book. The transformation of
Chicago is at hand when God moves and his people
respond from every corner of the city, burning
with a passion for his glory, stripped of
personal ambition and hungry to see the name of
Jesus exalted regardless of the cost.
  • Pastor Mark Jobe New Life Community Church

18
"With joy I commend the upcoming gathering of the
City Impact Roundtable. The whole church bringing
the whole gospel to the whole city never grows
old to me, especially the concept of the "whole
church." There is no witness that matches the
beauty of God's church working together for the
cause of Christ. After all, how can we say there
is one Christ if we are not one Church. Our
prayers are with you all."
  • Lon Allison Director, Billy Graham Center at
    Wheaton College
