  SPS operates only on a standby mode and only
  requires power consumptions (from its battery)
  when power is out, this type of UPS has the
  highest efficiency. It is also the cheapest that
  is why it is usually at home and in small
  offices.

Online UPS Systems (OPS)
Online UPS provides the highest power protection
for your devices. This tool operates by creating
a firewall that protects your sensitive devices
from the unstable power supply provided by the
main source. The whole process is quiet more
meticulous compared to the process done by an SPS
UPS but it sure give more protection. OPS are
pricier than the other type but it is worth every
