  • Settled Water Turbidity
  • If raw water averages less than 10 NTU, goal is
    settled water less than 1 NTU in 95 of readings
  • If raw water averages greater than 10 NTU, goal
    is settled water less than 2 NTU in 95 of
    readings
  • Filtered Water Turbidity
  • Combined filter effluent less than 0.1 NTU in 95
    of readings

  • Individual technical assistance visits/training
  • Staff of 7 (including supervisor and web
    developer)
  • Average 8 visits a week
  • Comprehensive Performance Evaluations (CPE)
  • One-on-one with a single system for 3-4 days
  • Focus on operations, maintenance, management and
    design
  • 50 factors
  • 21CPEs completed in KY
  • Performance-Based Training (PBT)
  • Multiple facilities over a 12-15 months focusing
    on recurring CPE factors
  • 6 PBT sessions completed with 21 water systems
    participating
  • 1 finishing up
  • Big Sandy River watershed PBT to begin
