College of Education
  • WELCOME BACK!!
  • Fall Meeting 2006
  • September 19, 2006

2
In Memory
  • May the sadness and devastation that resulted
from the forces of nature in Katrina remind us
all to value that precious commodity called life,
the daily comforts that we call home, our ability
to go to work each day, and the value of
predictability in our daily lives. Most
important, may Katrina serve as a lasting
reminder to all of us of the vast discrepancies
that still exist in this country between the
haves and the have-nots and the injustices that
continue in life around us each day.

3
Gratefulness
  • I am grateful for all my problems. After each
one was overcome, I became stronger and more able
to meet those that were still to come. I grew in
    all my difficulties.
  • J. C. Penny

4
Gratefulness
  • One single grateful thought raised to heaven is
    the most perfect prayer.
  • G. E. Lessing (1729 - 1781)
  • There shall be eternal summer in the grateful
    heart.
  • Celia Thaxter
