Buckingham Palace
  • Buckingham Palace is situated near Saint James
    Park, between Jakob Prark, Green Park and private
    Royal Garden. It is offical royal residence from
    1837. This palace was built in 1703 for John
    Sheffield- prince of Buckingham.

The Palace of Westminster
  • The Palace of Westminster is residence of
    parliament. It is consisted of two parts House
    of Comous and House of Lords. Whole compose in
    shore of Thames. Fronton of The Houses of
    Parliament is realy picturesque and photogenic in
    all season of year. During parliament debate on
    Victoria and Clock towers hang
    British flags.

Kew Gardens
  • Royal botanical gardens are attentive for the
    best in the world. On 120 hectares there are 50
    000 exhibits of plants from diferent parts of
    world. In Kew Gardens you can meet also lots of
    animals, for example exotic fishes and
    birds,which live greenhouses.

The British Museum
  • The British Museum is the largest museum of
    ancient history in Europe. It has 6 milions
    exhibits, there are mainly mumies, waves, works
    of literature and sculptures.This object was
    opened for visitors in1759, its founder is Sir
    Hans Sloan.

Big Ben
  • Big Ben is the name of bell, which is placed on
    the top of 106 meters tower. It is symbol of
    Great Britain.This bell hangs in one tower of
    parliament. After fire in Palace of Westminster,
    poeple started building this bell. It was created
    by two architects Charles Barry and Augustin
    Pugin.

Cathedral of Saint Paul
  • Cathedral of Saint Pawel is located in quarter
    The City. It was built in years from 1675 to
    1710.
  • Masses go on there only on Sundays and on
    Christmas, but for taking part in mass you must
    pay 6. In the centre there are some galleries.
    Most popular is Stone Gallery, where you can see
    amazing sight of Thames.

Madame Tussauds Museum
  • Madame Tussauds museum is located near tube
    station Baker Street. It is one of most popular
    tourist attraction in London. Exhibitions of
    these wax figures are separated for some parts,
    where visitors can see celebrities. In thousands
    of figures there are two Poles Jan Pawel II and
    Lech Walesa.

Millenium Dome
  • Millenium Dome is a large dome, built in 1999 to
    celebrate new millenium. O2 is located in
    southeast part of town near Greenwich. In 2009
    there will be world champions in gymnastics, and
    in 2012 roku there will be Olympiad.

Wembley
  • Wembley was opened in 1923. It is second, after
    spanish Camp Nou, largest stadium in the Europe.
    Now on stands can sit down even 90,000
    spectators. On Wembley can go on football
    matches, rugby, cinder-track racings and concerts.

  • British Airways London Eye is situated next to
    the Houses of Parliament, between Waterloo and
    Westminster Bridge. It is one of many londons
    buildings, which commmemorate new millenium.

Piccadilly Circus
  • Piccadilly Circus is most known london square
    and crossing. In the center there is a
    fountain-figure of Anteros and on the wall of one
    building,which surround this square, there are
    huge adverts.There is also Trocadero center of
    amusement. There are cinemas, casinos adn
    restaurants. You should also see quater Soho and
    China Town.

Harrods
  • Harrods is one of most famous exclusive shop in
    London. Its name comes from surname Charles Henry
    Harrods, who had in 1849 small shop. Now it is
    huge department store.
