- Introduction. A. The word glory suggests ideas
like splendor, brilliant light, luminous, radiant
and dazzling beauty, magnificence, splendidness.

- B. The Glorious Heavenly Home is described fully
in the book of Revelation, chapters 21, 22.
5The Glorious Home of the Soul
- I. It will be glorious because God is Glorious.
- A. Exodus 1610, the glory of the LORD appeared
in the cloud to announce that He would give them
manna.

- Exodus 2416, when Moses ascended Mount Sinái,
the glory of the Lord rested on the mount
4034, the glory of the Lord filled the
tabernacle.

- B. Exodus 3435, whenever the children of Israel
saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses'
face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his
face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

- When Moses spoke with God, his face shone so much
that the people could not look at him. He had to
put a veil over his face.

- II. It will be glorious because Christ is
Glorious. - A. Jn. 171-5, 24 Hebrews 13, who being the
brightness of His glory and the express image of
His person.

dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of
the only begotten from the Father, full of grace
and truth.

- John 211, This beginning of His signs Jesus did
in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and
His disciples believed in Him.

wrinkle.

New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from
God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

- C. 2 Tim. 210, Therefore I endure all things
for the sake of the elect, that they also may
obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus
with eternal glory.

- V. It will be glorious because we will forever
give glory to God - A. Praising Him, exalting Him, honoring Him,
giving Him honor for His divine and majestic
attributes.

- B. We do this now not only in the worship, but
also in our daily life. Jn. 158, By this My
Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit.

- C. We will give glory to God, praising Him and
serving Him eternally. Rest, not inactive, but
relieved, freed from everything that causes
sadness and pain.

- D. Rev. 141-5, Glorious singing!!
- V. 2, like the voice of many waters, like the
voice of loud thunder, like the sound of
harpists playing on their harps. - Whats the largest group of brethren you have
ever sung with? - When all of Gods Singers Get Home.

- VI. How is the glorious heavenly home described?
Rev. 212-4, 10-11, 18-19, 21-25. - No more tears, pain, sickness, dying v. 4
- I make all things new, v.5. Like new things
- Glorious, beyond our wildest imagination!

- A. The temple of Diana of the Ephesians was so
brilliant that the doorkeeper shouted to the
people that entered to protect their eyes.
Imagine the Glorious Heavenly Home.

- B. There are many glorious things in the world
gold, silver, precious stones, heaven-ly bodies,
oceans, rivers, parks, Aurora Borealis of Alaska
(great northern lights).

- C. Also men produce glorious things,
architecture, bridges, skyscrapers, but there is
no earthly glory that can equal the glory of the
Heavenly Home.

- D. The Heavenly Home is compared with the most
beautiful, the most valuable things we know in
this life But our Heavenly Home will be a
thousand times more glorious.

- VII. It will be glorious because we will be in
the presence of the glorious God. Rev. 2111,
having the glory of God. This is the
explanation. Its glory is God Himself.

- Rev. 2123, The city had no need of the sun or
of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God
illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. Just
imagine!

- B. Rev. 225, There shall be no night there
They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the
Lord God gives them light.

- C. 1 Tim. 616, dwells in unapproach-able light,
whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor
and eternal dominion! Amen.

- VIII. Our personal glory.
- A. The purpose of the gospel is that we be
conformed to the image of His Son, Rom. 828-30.

- 2 Cor. 318, beholding as in a mirror the glory
of the Lord, are being transformed into the same
image from glory to glory.

- If our character is transformed into the image of
Christ, He will transform the body of our humble
state into conformity with the body of His
glory, Phil. 321.

- If indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also
be glorified together, Rom. 817.

- B. Our body will have heavenly glory, 1 Cor.
1540, there are also heavenly bodies with
heavenly glory. V. 42, 43, 49, we will also bear
the image of the heavenly.

- C. Matt. 1343, Then the righteous will shine
forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

- Conclusion.
A. This hope is as a firm anchor
of the soul. Having this hope we purify ourselves
as He is pure.

- We know that when He is revealed, we shall be
like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And
everyone who has this hope in Him purifies
himself, just as He is pure. 1 Jn. 32, 3.

- B. That which prepares us for the Glorious
Heavenly Home is the glorious gospel according
to the glorious gospel of the blessed God. 1 Tim
111.

- Not simply by hearing the gospel o by praising
the gospel, but by obeying the gospel.

- C. But there shall by no means enter it anything
that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie,
but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book
of Life. Rev. 2127.

- D. Therefore, the Glorious Heavenly Home is that
place where the Glorious Father, the Glorious Son
and His glorious people will live forever.

- E. Having a desire to depart and be with Christ,
which is far better. Phil. 123. Do we talk this
way or do we only seek the glorious things of
this life?
