• Yerba mate is the National Drink of Argentina
• The Guaraní people began drinking yerba mate in
  the 16th century
• In the 17th century, Jesuit missionaries
  domesticated the plant and began producing it for
  export
• A survey conducted by IBOPE Argentina found that
  yerba mate has a 92 consumption rate in
  Argentine households
• Argentina produces more than one-third (37) of
  the worlds yerba mate

• Rosamonte was founded in 1936 and primarily
  harvested and dried yerba mate
• In 1966, it began producing yerba mate elaborada
• It is produced in Apósteles in the Misiones
  province of Argentina, which borders Paraguay and
  Brazil
