5The Moon Warriors.
The Moon is a savage satellite, Where only two
groups roam, One in the icy water, The other on
the frosty land. From the icy water, The
sheltagon surveys with his eagle eyes. The
sheltagon wants to take over the long lost
land. It bites the enemy until all their blood
has been drained, Drained into the sheltagons
hungry belly. In the frosty land, The goblins
are free to do terrible deeds, They scatter to
where the sheltagons lurk, Their long pointy ears
hear every screech and scream. As soon as the
sheltagons are ready to feed, The goblins have
metal at the ready The sheltagons teeth crack
on this cold metal. And when one has the rule of
this cratered moon, They will come for Earth! By
Ben, St Johns Mead Alex, St Johns Mead and
Myles, Raysfield Juniors.
6Moon Bat! Poets Molly and Melissa (Trinity),
Chloe (Horton), Caitlin (St Johns
Mead). Concealed within a hollow rock, Hides the
moon bat. His sensitive nose immediately Senses
the smell of BLOOD! Flying from his lair of
stone, He glides silently towards his victim like
an eagle, Shrinking in size, Until he takes the
form of a hornet. The prey sights him and
screams, So Bat flies, in the open mouth. He will
remain inside the victim. Eating flesh and
heart, Drinking his blood, Until nothing but skin
remains. From claws on his wings, He rips and
tears his way out of The victims empty shell of
a body. And that is the gruesome life of a Moon
bat. SO BEWARE!
7Moon Sea Serpent Down in the ocean deep Theres
a beast preparing to leap. Hell suck the soul
from you, Thats what moon sea serpents do. His
dark red eyes you can see from the surface, Save
yourself from the beast you may be forced to
face. He wraps his body around your head He
sucks, sucks your soul and leaves you for
dead. He eats the body up swift and
fast, Providing him energy that lasts. Ill tell
you know what to do, If he happens to come to
you. Its mind disturbed death on his trail The
victim is left lifeless and frail. Nothing can
save them once there dead, They have to take
bodies down to the sea bed. Venom drips from his
foul fangs Thats where the poisonous, spittle
hangs.
8The endless pain leaves you senseless, The venoms
power are relentless. Sudden disappearances are
suspicious, No one knew it was so vicious. His
translucent suckers are hardly visible, The
victims cries are unmissable. Would anyone like
to meet this Creature from the deep? The creature
getting ready to leap! By Rosa and Kennedy,
Trinity.
9Moon Bat! Poets Molly and Melissa (Trinity),

10The Giant Moon Squid. Is as red as blood. With
long, twisting tentacles twisting round a
book. This is no ordinary book, But a gate that
opens to another world. A world of paradise and
heaven combined, Where tropical palm trees sway
in the warm breeze, And turquoise seas spread
across the exotic sand. You may think this sounds
idyllic but be warned, The giant moon squid
guards it as if it is made of gold. However,
there is a way for you to enter You must dive
over fifty feet down, If you are worthy to enter,
the moon squid will tell you, hissing like a
snake. If you are not, your doom is sealed. Its
tentacles will wrap around your helpless body,
its grip tighter and tighter. Once you have
perished, it will eat the remains of your
flesh. The moon squid is not exactly what it
seems, It is held, prisoner by its evil
master. A creature with a heart of stone, who
treats in like a slave. By Mahlia, St Johns Mead
and Carla, Old Sodbury.
11The Mysterious Moon Whale. Poets Yasmine and
Courtney, Raysfield. The moon whale swims
cautiously through The moons fresh, icy, deep
water. Murmuring quietly to himself, He is happy
until A weird voice cackles fiercely, like a
teacher telling someone off, Turning in surprise,
jolted from his song, He finds himself trapped in
a whirling circle. Gulping water, he is turned
into a, Vicious moon jellyfish, With eyes full of
rage like a lion with escaped prey, He explodes
and becomes moon water!
12The Moon Sea Serpent. Poets Nina and Manuela,
St Johns. The moon may seem like an ordinary
world, But you are terribly mistaken, Never go
see it, for its death itself, Lest the sea
serpent awaken. The water ripples, they slither
and squirm, They rush to the surface through
seaweed. At last! It is another time to
feed. The poor, unknowing preys foot, Is just
like a worm on a hook, Soon encircled.
13They wrap their slithering skins, as they
frown, Around their bait, dragging it down, down,
down. Their elastic like suckers are awaiting,
prepared, Translucent sheets of soul, Are
drifting through their bodies, unaware. Who
heard the victim scream? Who knows, who could
see? Their red eyes glint as they succeed, For
they have got what they need. So if you ever
come across the shadowy lake of blue, know that
Something terrible could happen to a person
like you.
14The Moon Demon On the north-west face, Of the
moon, There is a cramped, ancient crater, Home to
a moon demon. A blood curdling, man eating
beast, With hair as black as coal, And eyes red
as scorching flames. It crawls in the deserted
shadows, Looming over creatures big and
small, Slaughtering everything in its
path, Tearing with pangs as sharp as knives, Into
victims necks. And ripping them to shreds with
its sharp, bony skewers, Then devouring the
victims flesh and blood. By Daniel Potts, SJM
and Sol, Old Sodbury.
15The Moon Viper Fish. Poets Gabi, Raysfield and
Alex, St Johns. It lurks in the shadow beyond
the moons surface WAITING Waiting for
you. Its as large as a whale and as deadly as a
shark. Does it bark? Yes, its a moon viper
fish. It will track you like a hawk hunting a
mouse. Youll be the special on its menu. It
will crush and devour your head. Before being
bloated and then heading back to bed. The day
after its target is the beach so be afraid. Its
prey will be destroyed.
16Moon Hog Witch The moon is as dry as bone, But
there is still a point to moan, Have you heard of
the terrifying Moon Hog Witch? Whose scream is of
a very high pitch, She has fingers like slicing
blades, And arms like bent spades, With scabby,
pale, fleshy skin, Except for on her stained red,
chin. Her hair is made up of long, purple
veins, Her eyes pull you in like steel
chains, Try to keep out of her way Or you will
face her one day, Her heart is almost ripped
out, So shes almost dead, no doubt. By Ben and
Heidi, Horton.
