Dilemma
  • You are a Spaniard during the 1600s. You have
traveled to the new world as a missionary to
Christianize the natives and have decided to
settle in the land we now know as Texas. You
have found a perfect site but it is inhabited by
natives who seem reluctant to accept your
    presence. What do you do?

12
Consider the following points for your first
paragraph
  • Who are you? (age, gender, occupation)
  • Tell us about your family, where you are from and
what you chose to bring with you to this new
land. What did you leave behind?
  • Describe your food, clothing, housing, religion,
    and government.

13
Second Paragraph
  • Explain the historical facts you have researched
    to write your paper.
  • The following film clip will show some of the
Spanish influence on the life of Native Texans.
