  • A We have received information from DHMIC. We
    are awaiting a breakout of Vermont only data from
    DHMIC. We are awaiting a response from FAHC.

    inadmissibility of apologies to those given
    within 14 days of the adverse incident?
  • A There are no states that have Im Sorry laws
    that impose a time limit on the apology.
  • Illinois has pending legislation concerning the
    Im Sorry laws that does include a time limit.
    The apology must be made within 72 hours of when
    the provider knew of or should have known of the
    cause of the adverse outcome.

  • A We have received information from DHMIC. We
    are awaiting a breakout of Vermont only data from
    DHMIC. We are awaiting a response from FAHC.

    added to the closed claims study?
  • A Discussions with senior management at the
    Guaranty Fund indicated that any available PHICO
    data lacked quality and was not complete and
    therefore would not be useful for our purposes.
