Michael Harrington, a graduate from John Jay
College of Criminal Justice, served the NYPD as a
cop for almost seven years. While working for the
New York Police Department, he patrolled
different areas and caught people who broke the
law and then arrested them. He also handled
paperwork, such as writing police reports and
keeping records of criminal activities. Michael
Harrington joined the NYPD because it is the
largest municipal police force in the United
States. The department was established in 1845
and was entrusted with the responsibility of
enforcing law and order and conducting
investigations. The New York Police Department is
one of the oldest departments and offers a wide
array of services such as air support, harbor
patrol, criminal intelligence, bomb disposal,
anti-terrorism, narcotics, anti-gang, etc.

The police department works for preserving peace,
enforcing law and order, providing a safe
environment, and helping people live without
fear. Michael Harrington worked at the NYPD
headquarters at One Police Plaza in Lower
Manhattan. The members of the department are
usually called New Yorks Finest and a huge
number of candidates wish to join the department
every year however, only those can join who have
qualifications from the police academy and are
physically fit. The NYPD is well equipped with
crime scene investigation and laboratory
resources and they have advanced systems that
help in computer crime investigations.

Michael Harrington is a man of multi talents and
has taken up various jobs before joining the
NYPD. He has a vast experience of stock brokerage
and sales especially education sales. He worked
with Inspirica, Inc., and Art Institute of New
York City. Both the jobs deal with education and
teaching. He counseled students and helped them
take enrollment in the best suitable courses. He
used his knowledge and communication skills to
increase the enrollments and thus, contributed to
the growth and the expansion of business.

Michael Harrington worked as a sales
representative with King TeleServices LLC Schick
Technologies, Inc. N.W. Ayer and Clark Boardman
Callaghan/West Publishing. All these jobs
explored his marketing and communication skills
and helped him gain experience and expertise in
selling a variety of products. He has experience
of working as a stock broker with First Hanover
Securities, and Investors Associates, Inc. He
studied Word Processing and Accounting, which
helped him a lot in his jobs. In his leisure
time, he likes to attend public concerts and
sporting events.
