• As a school we will work to develop a name,
  school colors, mascot, special programs.
• We will incorporate a PTSA and SLT.
• Our bell schedule is 830-245.
• School begins August 25th!
• Located in West Learning Community.

Naming the School

• Establish a Naming the School Committee
• We need 10-15 members including students
• Gather community input and suggestions
• Conduct research and consult with community
  members for historical and cultural significance
  of names
• Hold 3 meetings between March 26-April 22 to
  discuss names
• Bring 4 names to the school family to discuss
• Parents and students vote on names
• Students will vote on April 22nd
• Parents will cast votes at (acquanetta.edmond_at_cms.
  k12.nc.us) by April 22, 2009 _at_ 500 p.m.
• Presentation to the Board of Education in April
• All are invited to attend and participate
