All buildings in Venice are supported on slender
oak and pine piles which are driven deep into the
ground to create a solid foundation.

Grand Canal is the most famous canal and divides
the city into two sections. Gondola ride along
the Grand Canal is among the most popular things
to do in Venice. This enjoyable ride offer

Gallery. The Accademia Gallery features wonderful
masterpieces from the 14th century to the 18th
century by world-famous artists like Bellini,
Giorgione, Picasso, Tintoretto, Titian, Tiziano,
and others. Some of the magnificent landmarks
include Saint Mark's Square and Basilica, Doge's
Palace and Rialto Bridge.
