Export Gradebook to .CSV FileThis reporting tool
allows an instructor to export an exact copy of
their course Gradebook. This exported .CSV (comma
separated values) file can easily be imported
into a spreadsheet application such as Excel for
formatting and/or analysis. In the example shown
below, I have used Excels conditional formatting
tools to highlight scores that are less then 50.

Student ScoresThe Student Scores report provides
an overview of each students progress on
assignments within the selected course. An
instructor can configure the report to show all
assignments within the course or to filter out
assignments not past due and not taken. (Note
the of Total column only has relevance if
custom grading categories have been applied to
assignments within the course.)

Course ScoresSimilar to Export Gradebook to .CVS
file , the Course Scores reporting tool allows an
instructor to export a more or less exact copy of
their Gradebook for the selected course. The
Course Scores report, however, is configurable,
giving the instructor more control over how the
data is displayed. For example, an instructor can
choose whether numeric scores should be displayed
or percentages, whether raw or adjusted scores
should be shown, and to sort the display order of
assignments.

Student Cumulative GradesThe Student Cumulate
Grades report provides an overview of each
students overall score for the selected course.
If custom grading categories have been applied to
assignments within the course, there would be
separate score, possible, and percent columns for
each grading category. An instructor can
configure the report to show all assignments
within the course or to filter out assignments
not past due and not taken.

Properties of Assigned ProblemsThe Properties of
Assigned Problems reporting tool can be ran
against any Homework of Test type assignment in
the selected course. The report displays question
properties such as the possible score, problem
type (for example, Multiple Choice - MC, Fill in
the Blank - FITB, etc. ), and difficulty (on a
scale of 1.0 5.0 in which 1.0 is easy and 5.0
is difficult).

Student ResponsesThe Student Responses report
provides grade details including student
responses for a specified Homework or Test type
assignment within the selected course. The report
can be configured to return all student responses
for all assignment questions or it can be limited
to a specified student and/or assignment
question. Imagine a scenario where you would like
to view all student responses for a particular
question in your assignment. This tool would
allow you to export a report revealing all
student responses for that question on a single
page!

Student Response StatisticsThe Student Response
Statistics report contains student response
statistics for each question within a specified
assignment. The report includes such statistics
as the average score for all student responses,
the percentage of users who answered the question
correctly, and the standard deviation among
responses.

Assignment StatisticsThe Assignment Statistics
report contains statistics on student
participation and performance for a specified
assignment. A histogram showing the distribution
of student assignment scores is included with the
report.

All Course Student DataThe All Course
Student Data report allows an instructor to
export enrollment and grade details on the
selected course. The level of detail returned by
this reporting tool can be limited to the course
(as shown in the example below) or to the
assignment level.

Concepts ReportConcepts or learning outcomes
have been associated with many test and homework
bank questions in CengageNOW. For example, within
the accounting discipline, concepts have been
developed and applied to test bank questions
based on an experts interpretation of AACSB
International accreditation standards and AICPA
core competencies. The Concepts Report displays
each students performance by concept for either
a single assignment or for all assignments in the
selected course.

Report Export Options

• With the exception of the Export Gradebook to
  .CVS file reporting tool, all Gradebook reports
  can be exported in any of the following formats.
• Adobe Acrobat PDF (.pdf) viewable with Adobe's
  free Acrobat Reader
• Rich Text Format (.rtf) viewable with Microsoft
  Word or other word processor
• Tab Delimited Format (.txt) viewable in a
  spreadsheet application such as Excel
