Reminder Overall Concept

• Use advanced collaboration technology to link
  SC2001 conference with a diverse set of
  constellation sites, and develop a program that
  exploits this distributed infrastructure to both
  disseminate SC2001 content and to increase the
  range of ideas presented and discussed at the
  conference

(Collectively, sites have spent in excess of 1M
- equipment, room renovations, people, training,

Denver Configurationand Equipment Status

• SC Global Showcase Node on showfloor
• 2 SC Global rooms (one with Tech Program, one
  with Education BOFs)
• 1 technical program rooms
• NOC
• SC Global Ops Center
• All require Access Grid installation
• All gear obtained thanks to Internet-2, NCSA,
  Kansas, Kentucky, Florida, ANL, BU!!
• Integration with webcasting planned

• Barbara Kucera will head up this effort - hope to
  receive Exhibitors Kit for infrastructure
  planning
• Large-format display on show floor
• Giveaways at the booth
• Working to generate the program
• Follow the yellow brick road to SC Global!

SC Global Showcase Program

• Goal is to run continuously during showfloor
  hours, with a dynamic program featuring mix of
  e.g.
• Remote content - distributed dance, art,
  teleradiology, visualization, closed-captioning
  of some sessions
• Snapshots of technical programs
• Robot
• Not Julies wedding!

Technical Content

• BOFs with distributed participants
• Panels with distributed speakers
• Tech talks remote content displayed at Denver
• In addition, remote sites may of course want to
  receive Denver content
