  • UCLA

2
Status of FNAL Activity
  • Panels Production Status (LAB8)
  • CSC Assembly Status(MP9 facility)
  • CSC Validation Status(CRTS at LAB7)

Total 74 Chambers
  • Start Factory Production - Jul 00
  • Production Rate
  • 2 chambers/month in Q3/CY00
  • 1 chamber/week in Q4-CY00

Validation of CSCs at FNAL(Cosmic Ray Station at
LAB7)
  • Picture of FNALs CRTS - as a full scale
prototype of UF and UCLA FAST sites , historical
role of LAB7 facility (test of first several
    prototypes, troubleshooting before CERN
    test-beam, etc
  • Today this is facility for CSC integration
efforts Validation of 20 first production CSCs.
  • Why we decided to proceed with CSC Validation
    works
  • We have not enough testing experience in EMU CMS
project and for some reasons testing of CSC at
    FAST site and

Preparation for ProductionIntegration
CSC Integration efforts
  • Integration (UWFNAL efforts)
  • Infrastructure
  • Mechanical Support
  • Cooling
  • Cabling
  • HV connectors
  • Water fittings
  • Electronics
  • CFEBs
  • ALCT
  • Low Voltage Distribution
  • Alignment
