Founding of SWIntro of Angel Flight
  • Angel Flight founded at University of Omaha in
    1952.
  • 1957 Angel Flight actually became an organization
  • In 1980s Angel Flight started using the name SW

Founding of SW Cont.
  • 1995 the National Conclave (NATCON) voted to
    change Angel Flight to Angel Flight-Silver
    Wings
  • In 1998 the NATCON Assembly voted to change the
    name to SW
  • At NATCON 2004 SW was considered to be equal to
    AAS.

  • Silver Wings is a national, co-ed, professional
    organization dedicated to creating proactive,
    knowledgeable, and effective civic leaders
    through community service and education about
    national defense

AAS/SW Board of Trustees
  • The Board of Trustees (BOT) consists of three to
    fifteen permanent members who have a management
    of financial background
  • Trustees are elected be a majority vote of the
    NATCON General Assembly for life terms

Executive Management Center (EMC)

    administration of SW and to represent SW upon
    request of the National President
  • The primary responsibility of the Executive
    Director is to provide continuity of financial
    planning
